IMAGINE / AN INVITATION TO FOUNDING PARTNERS

A new live music property
born in the Northern Rivers.

Some partnerships do more than fund culture. They change what culture is able to become.

World Pop was born and launched in Ballina. Now we are building a recurring live music property from the Northern Rivers. Your resources, endorsement and values can help define what it becomes.

Founding Partners are now being invited.

What your involvement can unlock

WORLD POP / BORN IN BALLINA

A local beginning.
A world of possibility.

World Pop was born
and launched in Ballina.

This film documents the birth and launch of World Pop in Ballina, including Channel 9’s involvement. The next step builds on that beginning: a recurring live music property rooted in the Northern Rivers, with an international musical outlook.

WHAT MIGHT EXIST
BECAUSE YOU SAID YES?

01 / WHAT YOUR INVOLVEMENT CAN UNLOCK

What your involvement
can unlock.

Concerts become films. Films carry the music beyond the room. Each concert opens a path to the next — a continuing cultural property built around proven work and a genuine Northern Rivers story.

  1. 01 / NORTHERN RIVERS

    Live music

Professionally produced concerts built around Mahmood’s proven repertoire.

  2. 02 / NORTHERN RIVERS

    Film

The performance, the musicians and the human story.

  3. 03 / NORTHERN RIVERS

    Community

Affordable access to high-quality music close to home.

  4. 04 / CONTINUING STORY

    Content

Performance films and digital stories with a life beyond the concert.

  5. 05 / RECURRING PROPERTY

    Next concert

A repeatable foundation across the Northern Rivers.

  6. 06 / WIDER HORIZON

    International outlook

Music rooted here, with room to travel further.

The immediate opportunity is to establish the recurring Northern Rivers concert property. Venues, dates and production scope will be developed with partners.

02 / WHY YOUR NAME MATTERS

The right name beside an idea
can change how the world sees it.

The strongest partnership brings a name whose standards and story belong naturally beside the work.

01

Resources.

The means to bring musicians together, make the work and carry it into the world.

02

Endorsement.

Your reputation, confidence and reach can open doors that funding alone cannot.

03

Meaning.

The values your name carries become part of why the project matters.

03 / WHAT YOUR PARTNERSHIP CAN STAND FOR

Your values.
Made visible through the work.

Excellence.

Craftsmanship and precision, giving extraordinary players the space to discover together.

Resilience.

Persistence and reinvention — a journey emerging artists can recognise in their own lives.

Human possibility.

Someone far from the traditional centres of opportunity seeing that origin does not determine destination.

Across borders.

Different cultures finding shared ground; local audiences discovering a wider musical world through songs they connect with.

Talent can come from anywhere. Opportunity cannot.

THE FOUNDING MOMENT

Most partnerships begin after the story has already been built.
This one does not have to.

  • The festival exists.
  • The tour exists.
  • The institution exists.
  • The audience already exists.

Brands are invited to join something that has already been built.

This is different.

The Northern Rivers live music property creates an unusual opening: the opportunity to enter before the orbit has fully formed.

The repertoire, track record, creative control and international relationships are already in place. The artist-owned platform is still taking shape.

As a Founding Partner, you can help determine how far the idea can travel.

THE CONCERT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING

Concerts. Films. Community. A continuing Northern Rivers story. Cultural exchange.

A vision for a continuing story of resilience, craftsmanship and human creativity — and the distance talent can travel when opportunity meets it.

For the right brand, this is more than access to music sponsorship.

It is access to
the founding moment.

Proven work. Independent creative direction. Room to build something much larger — while your partnership can still become part of its origin story.

In an age when music can increasingly be generated without musicians, this project makes another choice: put extraordinary human players back at the centre of discovery.

MAHMOOD KHAN / WORLD POP / NORTHERN RIVERS

IMAGINE.

BEFORE THE ALGORITHMS. BACK TO THE MUSIC.

THE IDEA YOU CAN HELP TAKE FURTHER

A local story.
A world of music.
A room brought together.
Again and again.

What begins here
can travel further.

Recurring, professionally produced and filmed concerts across Ballina, Byron Bay and Mullumbimby, with the potential to reach the wider Northern Rivers.

Mahmood’s proven repertoire and international musical history meet a place he calls home. High-quality music, affordable community access and a genuine local story become the foundation of a continuing live property.

THE ARTIST / A CREDIBLE FOUNDATION

The work already exists.
Your partnership helps it travel further.

Mahmood Khan brings original repertoire and intellectual property, an established catalogue, artist performance, creative direction and years of international relationships. His experience spans orchestral recordings, documentary work, song mixing and video post-production.

Developed enough to be credible.
Early enough for a Founding Partner to matter.

DOCUMENTED AUDIENCE RESPONSE

Proven work.
A foundation to build on.

Your partnership would help scale music with an existing record of audience response. These are documented results, with the original charts available to inspect.

THE JOURNEY / ALREADY ON FILM

A story already lived.
A wider story still to tell.

From the Sydney Opera House
to a Northern Rivers future.

The earlier Sydney Opera House documentary shows that documenting this journey is already part of the work. That experience is part of the foundation for professionally filmed concerts and a continuing Northern Rivers story.

THE NEXT CHAPTER / NORTHERN RIVERS

Born in Ballina.
Built to keep becoming.

A recurring live concert property across Ballina, Byron Bay and Mullumbimby, potentially extending across the wider Northern Rivers. Each concert is a complete experience in the room — and the beginning of professionally filmed content with a life beyond it.

Live concerts. Captured on film.

Professional production and filming are part of the property from the outset. Sponsorship helps make that quality possible while keeping community access affordable.

Venues, concert dates, ticket prices and the production programme will be confirmed as the property develops.

THE HOME / BALLINA01

Where World Pop
began.

A local origin with an international outlook. Ballina’s World Pop launch provides the starting point for a new recurring live music story.

THE PROPERTY / NORTHERN RIVERS02

One region.
A continuing story.

Ballina, Byron Bay and Mullumbimby form the proposed regional foundation, with potential to extend further as venues, partners and opportunities align.

WHAT WE WILL CREATE

Music in the room.
A story that lives
beyond it.

  1. 01 Professionally produced live concerts
  2. 02 Professionally filmed performances
  3. 03 A continuing body of digital content
  4. 04 Affordable community access

ONE CONCERT.
A STORY BEYOND THE STAGE.

A live experience for the community. Professionally filmed music and storytelling that can continue after the room has emptied.

  • 01

    Professionally filmed live performances

  • 02

    Short-form films and social clips

  • 03

    Behind-the-scenes music and production stories

  • 04

Digital content for agreed partner use

  • 05

    Local stories and community engagement

  • 06

    Media and storytelling opportunities

  • 07

A continuing body of music, film and storytelling from the Northern Rivers

For partners, this means association with a continuing body of music, film and storytelling — not a single event.

Content scope, usage rights and delivery are agreed for each partnership.

PLANNED DELIVERY / CONCERT BY CONCERT

  1. Prepare & produceAgree the venue, repertoire, concert scope, partners and production arrangements.
  2. Perform & filmBring the community together for professionally produced live music, captured on film.
  3. Finish & shareEdit performance films and digital content, deliver agreed partner assets and build towards the next concert.

AUDIENCE & PROMOTION

Built for the room.
Designed to travel beyond it.

Each concert is designed to create two audiences: the people attending in the Northern Rivers and the wider audience reached through professionally filmed performances, digital content, media and storytelling.

Initial concerts are being developed across Ballina, Byron Bay and Mullumbimby. Venue capacities, ticket targets and projected attendance will be confirmed for each concert before partner commitments are finalised.

The project also has the advantage of relationships developed through Mahmood’s previous work with Australian television and radio. These include connections with Channel 9, Channel 10, SBS and Channel 7, as well as regional radio including Paradise FM.

Those relationships can be re-engaged as the series develops, creating genuine pathways to explore editorial coverage, interviews, performance opportunities, local storytelling and wider promotional reach. No media coverage is assumed or guaranteed; the opportunity is that these relationships already exist and can be re-approached around a strong new Northern Rivers story.

Planned promotion around each concert will include:

Founding Partners can also participate through presenting or naming association, local activation, hospitality, category exclusivity and agreed use of campaign content.

Audience projections and a specific promotional plan will be developed for each concert once the venue and date are confirmed.

The aim is not simply to fill a room. It is to build a commercially structured live and filmed property from the Northern Rivers with the ability to reach well beyond it.

BEYOND THE FIRST CONCERT

Part of the origin story.
With a horizon beyond it.

Ballina. Byron Bay.
Mullumbimby.
A local home. An international outlook.

The repertoire, production experience and body of music already exist. A recurring concert format gives that work a continuing home in the Northern Rivers.

Each concert can add performances, films and stories to the property. Wider regional activity and future opportunities would develop as partners, venues and production arrangements align.

Your involvement at the beginning could help establish the momentum, relationships and confidence that make that growth possible.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR BRAND

A place in the story.
From the beginning.

A place in the origin story.

Recognition as a partner who helped the platform take shape, with a relationship grounded in shared values.

Across music and film.

Association with live concerts, professionally filmed performances and their stories, with agreed digital and social use.

A continuing story.

A body of work that can create fresh reasons to engage audiences over time, beyond a single event.

A relationship shaped together.

The opportunity to shape presenting or naming association, hospitality, local activation, community engagement and category exclusivity from the outset.

The partnership framework, rights and activities are agreed individually, subject to relevant approvals.

FOR PROSPECTIVE FOUNDING PARTNERS

Serious prospective partners may request:

Request Founding Partner Information

BECAUSE YOU SAID YES.

You helped bring high-quality live music to the Northern Rivers, creating space for artists, musicians and audiences to connect.

You backed the age-old story of the outsider: the artist who began far from the traditional centres of opportunity and kept going.

You helped prove that where someone begins does not have to determine where they can go.

You chose human creativity, craftsmanship and collaboration — bringing artists, musicians and Northern Rivers audiences together through music.

You brought fuel to a fire already burning with courage, hope and possibility.

You gave an independent artist the momentum to turn concerts into films, films into stories, and a Ballina beginning into a continuing Northern Rivers property.

You helped create proof that excellence, craft and human effort still matter.

And somewhere, someone who has never met you may see what was created and think:
Perhaps there is room for what I can create too.

You helped make possibility visible.

That is what might exist because you said yes.
